An
apartment complex, up to four storeys high, built to the rear of a large
detached Victorian residence in Birkdale, near Southport.
The
old building was refurbished and converted into high-quality
apartments. The new-build sections are constructed in load-bearing masonry,
with engineered timber joist floors and trussed rafter roofs. New
foundations are CFA piles and reinforced concrete ground beams.
Work
was completed in 2005.
