John Reid and Edwin Jones, chartered civil and structural engineers, founded
Reid Jones Partnership in August 2000, having worked previously for large national consultants on prestigious projects such as the United Utilities Headquarters in Warrington and the Meadowhall Shopping Centre in Sheffield.  Together they have over fifty years experience in civil and structural engineering.

Edwin Jones BEng (Hons) CEng MIStructE AMICE

Chartered structural engineer.  Over 25 years experience in the design of building structures.  CDM Coordinator and Party Wall Surveyor.

The company is engaged mainly in the design of building structures and infrastructure work associated with building projects.  Other activities include surveys and structural inspections of existing buildings, bridge assessments and acting as Expert Witnesses.  We also act as Project Managers, CDM Coordinators and Party Wall Surveyors.

All Directors and chartered engineers are members of the Institution of Structural Engineers or Institution of Civil Engineers. Each member of the company is committed to continuing professional development. Attendance at training seminars, courses etc. is actively encouraged by the company

We have invested heavily in the latest technology for analysis, design and draughting, helping us to maintain the highest of engineering standards and to use the most up-to-date materials and techniques.

As a company we are aware how important Health and Safety is in the workplace and on site. Regular updates and training keep us fully up to date with all relevant legislation and we are fully compliant with the new Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations.
